Well I’m officially drained at this point. Spent all day playing a table top war game that me and a few friends spent months organising for us only to get half way through before we had to call it due to buses and people needed to head home.   Still went on over 9 hours including travelling time, setting up, etc.  Staying up late to make sure everything was ready and going the extra mile when things went wrong, bus timetables on the internet being one but as usual we got there and got playing.

Was a good game too actually, the game in question is something called Warhammer 40,000, its produced by a compnay called Games Workshop. Anyway fun was had by all, it took over 8 hours to play something that took two months to plan, armies had to be made and painted, etc., and I would hope that we would be able to play again in the near future.

Not that it hugely matters but the space marines (3 entire companies, yes 300+marines, thats 12,000 points!) lost 5-1 to the forces of chaos, the tau and their tyranid allies. As dust settles over the battlefield, troops re-arm and tanks are repaired and we all go back to our day jobs and await the next time when we can all revert to 15 year olds to play our wargame again!
